Happy Thanksgiving
November 23, 2009 by Vanessa Culpepper
Agh! I am itching to write about THE most amazing opportunity that I got to participate in. But, it’s so long, that I am going to have to find a way to tell it in a shorter version. Not easy for me to do, I like to throw in every single tiny detail in these types of things. Ah well, it will just have to wait a little longer. Maybe it will be ready by the time Thanksgiving is over, SO, I hope everyone has a safe, and wonderful holiday with their families.
I know some people out there are going through some difficult things – I think we all are. Stay encouraged, and think of what you can be thankful for…
You might have a job you ABSOLUTELY hate, but just focus on being thankful that you at least have a job. Millions of people out there don’t right now. So just think of it that way
Or, even better…
Be thankful for what you DON’T have. And by that I mean, there are so many people out there struggling with life-threatening illnesses. If you are not one of them, be VERY thankful for that, and your health.
I recently met someone from the Make a Wish Foundation, last week in fact. It reminded me to shift my perspective a little bit. A nice reminder, because actually, my younger brother once got to participate in Make a Wish as a patient. But, that is a story for another time.
Anyways, have a wonderful holiday! Remember, always be thankful for the smaller things in life that matter as well.
xoxo,
Vanessa
