I’ve been on this movie-high for a while now J Summer is usually the time for all these action-packed-boy-types of films. Wolverine, Star Trek, Terminator 4, Transformers blah blah blah — I’m ready for a more… “Feminine” movie!
PAPER HEART hits theatres 08/14! Written by Charlyne Yi and Nicholas Jasenovic, this Love-Doc won an award at the Sundance Film Festival.

This is really cute, Charlyne Yi (Knocked Up) talks about how she doesn’t believe in fairy-tale love or the Hollywood mythology of love. Her own experiences left her pretty jaded, so she went and made a documentary about this “one subject she doesn’t fully understand”. While getting opinions from a diverse group of people (bikers, strangers, kids, scientists, romance novelists), she meets an actor (Michael Cera from Juno) and their relationship takes on a life of its own –it’s born on camera. Hah! That would happen! They always say you find love when you actually stop looking for it.

“Combining elements of documentary and traditional storytelling, reality and fantasy, PAPER HEART brings a fresh perspective to the modern romance and redefines the classic love story.”
I really like watching these types of things, hearing random love stories, and harassing people at work about how they met their significant other. Ohhhh and how they proposed, and all that jazz cuz I’m nosy like that.
Xoxo,
Vanessa
